I should point out this is the same friend who always tells me off for "not saying no" enough.
Each entry is a postcard sized watercolour sketch based on real events and memories from my life*. I will post one daily for a year.

Day 78 - The subtlety gene bypassed some of my family.
I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear she's had plenty if opportunity to practice being devious over the last 21 years.

Day 66 - I've always wanted to draw on a wall
Thankyou to Susan for making my 'dream come true'.
Todays work can be seen for 1 week only in 'Ephemeral', a temporary show of wall drawn artwork at 56-58 The Old High Street, Folkestone. At the end of the week the work will be painted over and gone forever!

Update 21/11/13.
My Mum visited 'Ephemeral' today, and did no (as I expected) take offence to me calling her 'scary'.
What she did object to was my critique of her interior decorating style.....

Day 62 - Some people really need to get out more
When I got back home later, we howled with laughter at the mental image of my mum strapping on her running shoes and sweatband and 'running orf'.

Day 58 - Sredni Vashtar
Sredni Vashtar went forth,
His thoughts were red thoughts and his teeth were white.
His enemies called for peace, but he brought them death.
Sredni Vashtar the beautiful.
Most of Saki's (H.H. Munro) work can be found free for e-readers as it is out of copyright. A PDF of the story can be found here with a couple of other short tales.
